So, I just dreamed up this idea. That since I've been SOO FAR BACK with my art. That I really wanted to make something quick that I could post. Nothing that I really had to care too deeply about perfecting. So, I wanted to try my hand at this AI rendered art. Now granted I was deeply conflicted, but I gave it a chance. The results a little creepy and it had me worried a lot about theft, but it made a great base for me to work with. Once I had something I liked enough, I painted over everything.
I know I'm so far late with posting anything this year, I figured start with the 2024 New year pic. its been a while since i did it, so naturally a gave it a shot.
Now when I say I spent HOURS fighting with the AI. It was ridiculous. But I did get it to a point that my digital painting and customizing of it. Really helped me unwind and focus on textures, details, lighting...ect. I really needed to do something light-hearted to really unwind. IYKYK this year has been fucked up for me.
Anyways, what you see is the result: the combo of AI rendering of my prompt and complete digital painting over every inch of this piece. Like I said before. It's just something I whipped up so that I can post everything that I've been sitting on for this year.
This was an interesting experiment. I don't know if I will continue this in the future. It took a lot more effort on the part of messing with the AI to give me a base that I liked enough to work with. But enjoy the results none- the-less

Not sure but keep in mind. I spent a very long time painting over the base it rendered. It got a lot of things wrong. And just to render the base was a fight. Altho anything that's more than 10% changed counts an "original. " But I like to be transparent.
This for me was more about having fun and enjoying painting again.
Which especially after everything that has happened to me this year. Was really a must for me.

It is a law that was passed regarding plagiarism and artists and people who make work that is supposed to be parodies of original work. And in order for them not to get legally sued. The work has to be 10% different. The 10% different qualifies as it being uniquely different enough to be protected. Although with everything going on I really haven't checked on that but it's the reason why a lot of people make parodies of other things and they don't get sued. Like the movie scary movie. Or other things like that. It's why other places can steal your work and get away with it if they change it 10%. Which used to be a big deal even before AI. A lot of artists just have a lot of fear about putting their artwork online that someone else from a different website with steal it and claim it as their own and that's why it took a massive effort from a lot of people to spot out stolen work. But yeah that's a thing
