I read that Hypno as a Pokemon has a high Special Defense. I felt like making a sequel to the Hypno shooting lightning by doing one casting Light Screen to block projectiles.

That could be a fun moment in a dungeon comic. When things get bleak, a Hypno could pop up and shout "Get behind me!!" and block energy blasts. My idea for the main character, Mephit, would be a Stunky Anthro, and due to their poor defense they could have partners to compensate for that.
