Whoop, didn't realize there was already another part. I guess continuing from the other post, you don't need to be human to be family. I've already got messages from mom about how I'll always be her daughter, even if I was somehow transformed. (She was mildly annoyed when one of my more self-inserty characters had a somewhat bad interaction with their mom post-transformation, though I told her that was based on a roommate's experience. Though, it did finally get her to stop slipping and saying "son". That, and driving it home with a couple messages where I used "daughter" for myself.)
Whatever you're going through in real life, I hope it goes well. And if the worst happens and you need a new mom, maybe I'll give you the number of mine. ^_~
