Prompt: infrastructure
The consultant switched on her laser pointer and turned toward the map projected on the wall. The minkess’ audience looked on as she said, “I’ve mapped out where the problems appear to be.”
She traced the red dot around the map, picking out certain points and suppressing a smile as two of the audience members, both felines, seemed ready to jump out of their chairs to pursue the laser. “We have these congested points, and the flow’s severely impeded. Backups are frequent and getting worse.”
“I see,” one of the felines said. “What do you recommend?”
“We will widen the chokepoints here,” and the red dot danced around, “and here, and that should alleviate the problem.” She raised the level of room lighting and played the laser pointer along the floor.
The two members of the audience who had been fixedly staring at the laser suddenly broke and lunged from their chairs as the feline who’d spoken said, “It sounds like a good plan. We approve.”
“Good. I’ll schedule your stent procedure immediately.”
