It’s a complicated story but the short is this is a period after the collapse of universal and reality stability.

Well it’s more a concession as technically, being 20,000 years in the future, the language these folks would speak would be so unrecognizable to human or ela languages that it’s just easier to write it cleanly.
Sorta like how things were written In Under The Logáu Noon.
And to avoid the reasons folks didn’t like that short story yeah, clean English (and Spanish doing translations) with the understanding these folks are speaking a pretty alien tongue at this point
