Kooptrina is a 19 year old Koopa from a settlement not associated with Bowser in anyway, (Not unlike the Koopa Village from Paper Mario), she's the love interest for Drift, whom he first met after the events of the first Mario movie, while he was hesitant at first about her, it became very clear that not all Koopas are allied with Bowser, or even evil for that matter, and she became interested in him in turn.
