The Pony Luftwaffe has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this

The thing is, she is not leaving My Little Pony, she is just stepping down one position. Instead of being Executive Producer and creating the script and post-production editting, she will now just be the Producer making the script. She said in her deviantart journal that it was just too much for her to do both. MLP will still be the same because she is still making the story and still has control over the characters.

This is how rumors get started, people only hear, "Lauren Frost is stepping down as Executive Producer," and people go, "Oh Noes!! No more Lauren Frost! MLP is doomed, I better alert everyone of this!!" But what they didnt hear was, "and is going to be a regular ole producer." People must stop, listen, and not try to assume what their going to say or how its going to end, and then spread it like wildfire.

But anyways, everything's cool, she just couldnt keep up with everything, just wanted to take care of the script instead of post-production editing.

Dude, that's EXACTLY how people assume negatively about furries.

(FYI, now talking about the general public, now about bronies or furries) Yes, people generally are stupid (and/or ignorant) emotionally-driven (instead of logically-driven) judgemental loud individuals. They are the ones who the media always finds and wants to talk to, because they themselves are these same people. They will hear only want they want to hear and then immediately put emotion in it.

They are also judgemental, often seeking out others' flaws, and then speading and amplifying them, to make theirs seem like no big deal. For example: let's just say I love to beat up my son, I no it's wrong and others will hate me for it, though I point out a furry to the public and media, and start saying he loves to fuck in animal costumes and fuck goats. They will home in on that because they love juice flaws, and this random guy has so expertly pointed out, with all of his 2min research of the fandom, told us everything we ever need to know about the furry community. And now, the media's glass is full and emotion has been put into it, unwilling to except anymore information, be it true, false, or whatever.

So that is why I say, when these people ask you, "So your those people who fuck in fursuit (which I just learned of that word 5min ago)?" Just smile and tell them, "no, that is something completely different, we are just people who love cartoons. Love to draw them and dress up as them and act like idiots, lol." People are stupid as I have said, and when you speak logically to them, with absolutely no emotion, they will hear exactly what you have said and then understand. Then they will spead that good information, because they heard it first hand from someone actually in the fandom, and that in itself, makes them feel important, they are the ones will new info that no one else knows!

So please take this advice and use it, if you've read this far, then I must be making some sort of sense, heheh. And next time that you meet someone like these people, dont get angry at them, pitty them, for they have no true happiness in their lives and usually are that bright and wont make it as far in life.

Yep. I hope so. I've had little success in spreading goodness. Most people I talk to never knew about furry until I explained it to them. In mentioning the negative (trying to be fair), they freak out then. But, eventually they came around to understand, which was good. But I've talked to very few people.

I was under the impression she said stepping down at first, but has since announced she's going to be completely uninvolved. At least that's the impression I got from her more recent announcement.

Lauren said her involvement was in writing the stories for season two, and that part is done for ALL OF season two already. So, Lauren's part is done for this season. The rest of the work is casting voice actors (or bringing back old ones) and recording voices. and of course, animating each episode. Lauren has no involvement in these steps anymore (by her choice), so she's likely done for the year.

Now remember, Lauren was involved in the design of what each pony looked like. She had a hoof on how the ponies walked, trotted, flew, etc. These things do not need to be built from scratch again, the animators just need to refer to season one and re-use. All the hard work that Lauren did to develop the show will just be referenced and used again.

In Summary, the show will not be changing. Lauren did all the hard work in season one, and does not need to be involved as much in future seasons. I'm looking forward to season two, not fearing it.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I'm not worried at all. I realize that even IF she wasn't involved anymore, the show itself would still be her design (as you were saying). I just thought her involvement was going to be minimal, and it sounds like maybe I misinterpreted that as her being not involved. I'm still SUPER excited for the next season though! I just hope the show doesn't ever "jump the shark" like so many series do, but I think season 2 is way too early to worry about that.
