John Oliver. 'Closet' fur. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. :)

Well let's see - he commissioned a fursona portrait ("John Ottiver), created a Japanese version of him ("Chi-John") and regularly has mascot-suited characters on his show...still doesn't prove he's a fur - even though he once admitted on air, "the clues are all there."

I'm waiting for him to come out with an official statement: "Ich bin ein furry!"

You forgot about Augustus P. Crumhorn IV in the Dangermouse reboot.

Haven't seen a lot of the reboot - it wouldn't be an otter character he voices by any chance, would it? (If so, I bet he gets an awesome kick seeing/hearing himself as his animated fursona - I know I would!)

That is sweet, gonna have to track a few of those eps down. He's already done quite a few cartoon voices, including Zazu in the "live action" Lion King remake.

The biggest tell I would think was during the pandemic when he paid $1,000 for the original anthro rat erotic drawing "Stay Up Late" by Biohazard (a.k.a. Brian Swords) and donated $20,000 of HBO's money to the seller's local food bank. While this was all played for laughs on the show, I think the effort his team put into finding it and the sheer joy he had at finally getting the framed original says there was more interest than just "for the lulz", you know?

Oh of course, shoulda mentioned it here; however I did give John Oliver, his quest for "rat erotica" and his furry "tells" several pages in Furry Planet. I suspect he might have more than a bit of furry "erotica" in his personal collection.
