"Well, hi there!! Care to join me on this stretch of beach? It feels great out here!"

When Cherry first joined our merry band of squishies, he was probably one of the shiest friends of the group, usually unsure and cautious and getting involved in stuff. As the years have passed, he's clearly switched in terms of personality: he's super outgoing, extremely playful and a bit flamboyant. He loves to socialize and be around people, and won't shy away from saying hello with a lovely smile. And what better place to do that then on this bright sunny day at the beach! Go on, sit down with him and enjoy it!

This is part of a series of pictures that a very close friend of mine gave me permission to reupload to my DeviantArt gallery, as he is not on any other platform at the time of this upload. This one from 2021 can also...also be counted as a birthday present, and this one wasn't even suggested at all! It was a surprise and I adore how Cherry looks here. His friendly demeanor, lifting his glasses up to show you more of his plushy face and goofy smile, combined with his chubby body and very wide frame. He is very much friend-shaped and my friend captured it so well. That's one of the places I remember got us to become friends, was our shared appreciation for Dragonite, and I knew through our roleplays that he loved Cherry as well. I'm glad he got the chance to draw him, and I love this one so very much!
