Oh my gosh, she's gonna make me cry now...
This is an amazing work of art. So heartfelt and poignant! I've always seen and known Cassie the Rock Vixen as a source of pure optimism and happiness, so seeing her playing a tribute song for a beloved friend gone too soon with a tear leaking from her vixen eye really stirs up a lot of deep, harrowing emotion. You've done a fine duty of provoking such deep-knitted feelings of love and grief with this piece. Also, her guitar is wonderfully detailed. Thank you very much for sharing this piece, dear Terrie. I appreciate the effort involved! 💖

Cassie was one of the first fursons in my ongoing Fandom veterancy I saw put to draught; likely on VLC but possibly all the way back to my days on the TTC in the 1990; I think the second if not the first drawing of her I clearly recall seeing was drawn by Aimee Major/Aimee Kitty and while I am sure I remember the drawing I cannot recall the name of the artist who drew Cassie the first time I recall seeing her.
I believe you drew her at least once prior to this post, Terrie, that I can presently recall but through my minds-eye in memory of the artstyle matching yours, my practical working memory isn't wholly predictable nor reliable at the moment.
After your lengthy absence had lengthened past a half-dozen years, it was a wonderful treat to see you were posting new art on FA again over the last few months, as I'd lost my friend, fellow artist-writer, roleplayer and mentor

saara died during the summer of 2024 at the end of July very suddenly, after a catastrophic cardiac failure that was, even if it'd have been excruciatingly painful and were he awake during the event, very unlikely to have drawn out without any interference.
And I know you'd get a lot of questions that hinged on asking how and where you'd been, and what had merited the happiness you share with others. I thought the kindest thing would be to wish you well when the time came to do it, and not make it any more or less organic than letting you know it was good to see you back and that you'd kept drawing in the meantime.
Thus, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Terrie.
