Mischief Reference Sheet
MISCHIEF
Gender: Female
Species: Freckle Shark
D.O.B: December 8th, 1990
Height: 5'5"
Orientation: Doesn't really care, just likes Mayhem
Occupation: Freelance artist and designer
Personality: Excitable, silly, mischievous (duh), creative, affectionate, slightly anxious/shy, nerdy as fuck
Loves: Creating, video games, art, comics, cartoons, toys, drawing, electronic music, Mayhem (<3)
Does not love: Cold weather, dry places, silence, lack of Mayhem
Things of note:
- She's a "freckle shark" which is just something I made up based on several different sharks (black tip reef shark, oceanic white tip, and leopard shark in particular)
- Her "ears" are actually just fins that have a flexible base; used for emoting
- Particularly fond of portable gaming, has a lime green GBC and DS
I ask she is not drawn in any sexual or adult situations, and should only be drawn romantically with Mayhem. Mischief in her underoos was primarily included to show off her body type, normally she's much too bashful to not be covered up.

FINALLY, at long last I make a proper reference for Mischief. I figured it was high time since I wanted to change some aspects of her design, so here you go. I put it off due to laziness, mostly, but it turns out this was pretty fun, and definitely inspired me to make updated refs for my other characters.
So, for those in the know, Mischief serves as an alternate persona to Nemph, and represents my artistic and geeky side. She doesn't look much (er, at all) like me, but she has my personality.
Also, all I did here was draw the character, I owe the actual design of the ref sheet to Renard. He added a lot of personality to this, and for that I give him many thanks ;w; <3

OH...WELL... AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO BE IMPRESSIVE AND A WIZARD AT PHOTOSHOP, Renard actually did the actual design of the sheet. I just gave him the drawings of the character and said "DO SOMETHING COOL" and he came up with this, hahah. But yeah, he's good with layout, which is why I left it up to him.
I have no idea how he got that sticker effect >:C I gotta pester him to tell me the secrets.

This is just my purely unprofessional thought, but the white looks like he added a stroke and the shadow is probably a simple dropshadow. I could be VERY wrong though lol.
and frankly it wouldn't be amazing with just the layout; the art makes the ref sheet, ALWAYS. Crappy art could have the best layout ever and still suck, so trust me when I say you make wonderful ref sheets. <3 I prefer more interesting poses like these to just generic 'standing there' poses. That's what I figured, too. I guess I just liked how subtle the drop shadow looked; gives it juuuust enough to look like a sticker or something. I tend to over-do or under-do when it comes to photoshop work.
And ahaha, thank you, thank you -w- I uh, really hate drawing static poses. It actually makes me feel uncomfortable... like, that "itch you can't scratch" feeling, haha. These are ALMOST too static for me as is, but I was trying not to be a total perfectionist and just get the damn thing done. But hey, yours gets the job done and that's what counts the most!

Woah, awesome refsheet! ♥ I love Mischief, she's such a cutie despite all of those sharp pointy bits; speaking of which, nice touch with the double row of chompers on the headshot!

I like the dynamics :o, if you ever did open for references ... I think this would be the only one I'd need:3, but then again I would need to think out all that complex how do I see myself stuff o.o;, anyway, Awesome art as per your norm, makes me wish I'd actually followed that path in life XD

I love Mischief. <33 I love what you made her 'ears' into now. :D They're so much more angular and expressive than her initial ones [which looked more like actual ears, too, if I recall correctly]. :3 These expressive fins are much more fitting for a shark, if you ask me. Also love the neck gills. I didn't notice them before with her jacket. Awesome work!
