One of my classmates saw my cat picture, and asked me to paint her dog, a young male Bichon Frise, and gave me a photo (inset).
I started with the one on the right, hated it, started again (the one on the left), hated that, despaired, and took them both to class to show my classmate and the instructor.
They loved both of them; classmate's friend wanted the second one; I was told to finish both! So I decided I knew nothing about my own work and should rely on other people's opinions XD
Here's both the finished ones. The right is not colour adjusted; the edges are more visible in the left on in reality.

I really like them presented like this. The way their laid out is sort of similar to optical illusion tests/games, where you're supposed to focus on the center and let your perphial vision get messed with by what's on the side. I doubt it's intentional, but I like it. Wall of puppy. I might steal this layout from you.
