There's nowhere to run now. a THOUGHT from Suzo and that whole island will turn against the main characters. All the way down to the ground under their paws/stomach, and even the air they supposedly need to breathe. They're done for if they anger Suzo, some evils cannot be outrun or outfought OR outsmarted. Only deus ex machina will work.
"Oh, and when, exactly, were you intending to try to steal the eye back from me, insect? You DO know I have never let any of you out of my surveillance, I trust??"

I think I'm in the same boat. Sure, this is a recipe for a mad scientist with demigod powers, but we've had a lot of evil characters thus far, and a more grey character would be a refreshing turn of events. And while I do think that the main cast is going to be ultimately opposed to Suzokon, there is an opportunity for something more philosophically deep here; yes, his actions show a special disregard for individual life, but at the same time, a life beyond its prime struggling to survive anyways can also describe cancer cells, and such living things - especially in multicellular organisms - are commonplace in nature.
What would be the kinds of life that Suzocon might bring about? If he made Miyo, then he likely had some influence in how she would turn out, and she wasn't exactly a monster. If he succeeds, does that mean a Miyo can life a full life? If he fails, then were the deaths of the Miyos that came before all for naught?

Yeah. I still don't think you're telling the whole story, Suzocon-sama. I think you've been experimenting with artificial life for a long time. If Miyo-chen ever was real at all, this is an atrocity. Even at best, it's Blue and Orange morality. As long as I've studied and read Japanese folklore, this particular yao no kitsune creeps me right the hell out. Those red tips to his tails and crest ain't there for giggles.
And that's some achievement for
Virmir. Even if my guess is right, Suzocon-sama is a hell of a memorable villain.

I think it's very amusing that some people think that Suzucon-sama is one of the good guys.
At best, he's a True Neutral with a completely alien sense of morality. My bet is that he's Neutral Evil, and has been leading the lot of them on this whole time. The moment he thought they might be there to interfere with his plans, event he slightest suspicion, he draws a kami shotgun and aims it at their faces. This guy is no hero.

My guess Suzo has already figured out how to construct bodies but is currently failing to create a proper soul. Considering we do not see a ghost come from Miyo and her inability to sleep would indicate she cannot generate mana on her own, but the body is fine. The Miyo's may be running on batteries, whereas Roko has the ability to absorb mana and sustain himself. Which would explain his interest in Roko and his current state of existence.
Obtuse sure. A mindset that exists outside of the standard morals, definitely. Maybe even creepy.......but I still wouldn't call this outright evil. If Miyo never existed in the first place and is simply a mana golem that he's experimenting with almost puts him on the same level as the gods they casually talk about. In short so far this guy gives off a personal bias but not a completely evil one and doesn't seem like a threat to society and reality.
Might not be a GOOD guy but things are hardly ever straight forward. This guys KNOWS things.....things that they don't and ever lead them to question actual intentions of the people they lived with if I'm reading this right. Could be misdirection or could be a blunt statement of fact of which this guy is quite particular about. I don't think casually screwing him over is going to go well in games like this you have to understand the cards you're working with.

And Roko is the final piece, because he's not a "ghost." He's a soul that's been sucked out of his body. Roko is either going to be used to occupy a Miko, be used as an ingredient for soul-creation, or be analyzed to see what he is made of.
None of these options are good if Suzocon is in charge of the process. His friends found the bandana by now... right?
