So here's my first art for my annual Capricorn Cat/Croc Month run, a little project for making tributes to the felines and crocodilians born on the days of the Capricorn.

Heroes always deserve fanart, but even villains do deserve some love and attention, and as Richard the Lionheart's brother John's birthday was on 24 December, the same applies to his anthro counterpart, the greedy and dastardly, yet cowardly and juvenile lion Prince John from Disney's Robin Hood. Voiced by the legendary actor Peter Ustinov, he usurped King Richard with the help of his obsequious advisor Sir Hiss by sending him to the Third Crusade and used his position to terrorise the innocent people of England, backed by his crony, the sinister Sheriff of Nottingham. Although he can be quite the devious schemer, Prince John is also childishly bad-tempered, easily frightened, and prone to cry for his mother Eleanor while sucking on his thumb, all of which led to his eventual defeat at the hands of Robin Hood. His antics nevertheless provide the comic relief as he shows how inexperienced and ineffectual he really is to rule a kingdom. With his birthday being on 24 December, that makes Prince John a Capricorn. Here's to the Phony King of England!
