This year has been interesting for too many reasons. It was very polarizing for me, all things considered. I don’t even know what to say that could adequately summarize everything.

Artistically, it looks like I quickly got to using color more comprehensively than last year, during which I decided to drop color and focus only on line forms. Now I seem to have a functioning style. I still consider all that I make, even the best pieces, to just be colored sketches. That’s not a bad thing, because there are a number of pieces not in this summary that I still consider some of the best I have done; I am still very satisfied with a good number of pieces this year. Just a categorical way of thinking of what type of pictures I make.

Real life has had some interesting things. I had the wonderful experience of traveling internationally for the first time this year. The negative things that happened are unbecoming of this webpage, but I suppose that means this upcoming year will also be interesting. I hope I can still find positive things in the near future.

If I’ve had the privilege of talking with you anywhere, even if just for a couple words, I am very grateful— I appreciate that some people out in the world enjoy these drawings, and I am very happy to have met you, and that we might continue speaking. I do think about you all often, and hope you are all doing ok.
