Aelvin is a dragonborn who is obsessed with birds. After becoming a wizard, he continued to study them, becoming a competent ornithologist. In particular, he was fascinated by the winged creatures of the outer planes, like the phoenix, and those which seemed to sprout up around places of magic, like the terrifying zygraats of Myth Drannor. He has many theories about the origins of birds and how/if they are related to dragons, and he is a fairly strict follower of Lathander, having been raised by that clergy. This art features him and his phoenix companion, Aember (whose actual name is Ember, but who called herself that to tease Aelvin over his name).
