Serlvarian was once a red dragon.
Corrupted by the magic of a fallen meteor, he coveted the unique treasure and its presence slowly mutated his appearance. His once crimson scales turned cold, his wing membrane fractured barely held together in the material plane. His warm fire became a blinding hot beam; a heat that is confused for freezing cold as it quickly destroys nerve endings. And between his horns, a torn fabric of the celestial heavens revealing a single star. Potentially the origin of the meteor he now protects.
