6 years ago I carved the GLORIOUS RIPUMPKIN, featuring Ripo, who is DEATH INCARNATE but mostly harmless (unless you are a cookie).
Unfortunately, as all Pumpkins are, the GLORIOUS RIPUMPKIN was temporary and too good to last in this world. The frost turned it to moosh, Pug (youngest brother) yote it across the lawn, and then a duck ate it. Thus ended the Ripumpkin.
The RIPUMPKIN 2.0 was designed in Blender, 3D printed in PLA, and sanded and painted by yours truly. It is 100% DUCKPROOF, GUARANTEED. Also I can put a spinny color-changing disco light on the inside, which is kind of more fun that it ought to be lol. If I were to do it again, I'd change a few things; I'd make it bigger over all (although this would require either a bigger printer or to slice it up into more chunks) and I'd make the bats on the back both bigger and closer to the top of the pumpkin so they project better on the wall. Otherwise I am very pleased. I didn't get it done in time for Halloween 2024, but I'm a firm believer in "Halloween All Year Long" as an aesthetic so that's ok.
Sorry for my absence! I kinda fell off the face of the internet after the start of November. The reasons are many and complicated and more than a little emotionally upsetting, I've got a series of journals writing it down as it happened if you want the juicy, festering details (mind the trigger warnings!)... ANYWAY. Moving along with my life! I've still been drawing, as the inspiration and energy comes, and I've got a little pile of stuff to upload. Hope you enjoy the surprise art bomb, hopefully I'll be a little more consistent in the near future :3 Wishing you all a happy and safe 2025
