Lieutenant Erika Slate, always trying to give the appearance that she is a no nonsense, by the book commander. She is a closet alcoholic, and when you look at her record to see how low some of her marks were, one could wonder how she became a lieutenant. Then you see it, she was promoted in the field by one Colonel Grey Saber. She "allegedly" slept with/did somethings of a similar nature, Saber to get the promotion. At this time no one can really prove that she did, or have any reason to think she did anything of that nature, but when Lt. Wren said," Funny things how those field promotions work." This made her suspect he knew, when he had no clue. So she leans into the by the book persona, because surly no one would suspect her of doing anything like that, with her nose that deep into the book. This promotion causes a problem when Saber isn't around to give her that easy ride, and Major Striker is no Col. Saber, plus Lt. Wren just being there all unorganized may trigger some underlying OCD.
