Finally got around to finishing a full reference sheet for the creature. This is my primary sona, and how I usually represent myself in art.

Absolutely love the design! Is the concave part of the eye a normal amount of black, or is it more like Black 4.0/Vantablack? And does coloration vary from individual to individual in shade or hue?
Also, would you mind if I a) created a Figment Creature sona and b) modeled and potentially built a figurine? I want to try my hand at creating figurines and this design catches my eye as both cool and feasible to build.

Firstly, I wouldn't mind at all if you made your own Figment Creature! Or if you made a figure. It's an open species, so anyone can make one of they feel like it.
Secondly, some small guidelines for variation in the creatures,
- The eye socket is slightly darker than the rest of the shell, but not vantablack levels of dark.
- Their shell can come in different colors, but it's usually very dark. Paint sticks to their shells pretty well though, so they can color different parts of their body if they want them to be lighter or more colorful.
- Their eye can come in any color. So can the flesh inside their mouths. Their colors should be close to one another, but they don't have to be the exact same.
- Their faces can have different numbers of flaps, in different shape. Usually 2-8, on average.
