A huge well, someone turned a well into a giant music box. It played different tunes by day and night. The one in the day was automatic and had no name. The one at night required you to lower a carousel crank and turn it. The song was called "poly" and it's still in my head. It was horrifying, the sound. Some sort of peaceful minimalist piano, followed by a dirge played on a single cello string. The piano kept coming back, softly, and the dirge eventually caved into long, sequential drones, the sound of moving stone blocks and wooden crates accompanying it.
