I am a car enthusiast and therefor most of my characters own a car. It gives me a way to include my favorite cars in my art or to memorialize the many old cars I have owned or been attached to IRL.

I have this little story in my head where one day, a broken-down Lincoln Town Car appeared in Sophie's garage seemingly out of nowhere. She repaired it, and soon realized that it was possessed by a ghost who called himself "Mason". Mason seemed unbothered by the fact that his soul was bound to the car, and took a liking to Sophie for fixing him. After Atticus arrives in the Underworld, Sophie introduces him to Mason who eventually befriends Atticus and becomes his daily driver. I say that he is "evil" because "evil possessed vehicle" is one of my favorite horror tropes (and he does have a sinister sense of humor) but ultimately Mason does care for those he forms a bond with. It's their enemies who should be afraid when they hear that V8 revving in the distance...

Mason's design is taken from my late father's IRL Town Car, which was tragically lost to family who didn't give it the care it deserved. (Yes, I am still mad.)
