I've seen a lot of bad bosses go straight from mistake to 100% badass or even firing after one mistake

Oh boohoo. She showed up late and lost her ticket book (probably in her meter car,) she DID get off easy. It could be worse, if it gets to the chief she might end up being fired.
And hey, if all else fails she can still fly home.
