His hands flew up to his face, but the lights dazzled his brain, as his foggy thoughts became even foggier. Stars floated past his vision; he could feel the air whistling against his skin, the camera whirring as it pulled the next frame. There was a rustling in the grass as some creature ran off; overhead, the bats squeaked and fluttered away in alarm. The crickets still buzzed in his ears. Something was wrong with his hands; something was wrong with his nose; something was wrong with his skin. His brain tried to step back and find one thing to focus on...
