She may be a brawler, but you surely didn't think punching was all Zitra could do in combat, did you? Oh no, she's capable of much more than that! In fact, a favorite tactic of hers during one-on-one fights is to disarm her opponent and, if possible, break/bend whatever is it they were trying to use against her. Sure, she could just toss it aside where they can't readily get to it, but it's much more fun to smash it in front of them and watch as their best chance of actually winning the fight gets destroyed with it. And the look of horror on their face when she follows it up with a wicked grin being thrown their way to let them know she's not done yet? Priceless.

Most usually either flee or surrender after that, though a foolish few will still try to take her on with their own fists. Given Zitra's size and build compared to most people - even amongst those in her own tribe - coupled with how long she's likely been training with those fists of hers, and you can probably figure out how those fights usually end.

First commissioned piece of Zitra in her armor! Pondered for a bit who I felt would be a good choice to draw her wearing it, since I feel like it's an overall more complicated design than the armor designs I've made for my other characters - not something I feel most artists would be all that comfortable drawing - before ultimately deciding that BMBrice was a good first choice; it wouldn't be the first time this person has drawn my characters for me, after all, and what I have seen of their work in the years since then suggested they were up to the task. Looks like I was right to believe such! Even with the flat colors, you can still see a lot of the muscle definition under the armor and plenty of details on her body and equipment! I honestly may have to consider hitting this artist up about drawing my dragons again; it's definitely been a long time, after all...

While I personally envisioned a spear as the weapon Zitra would smash under her hoof, I chose to let BMB be the one to decide just what medieval weapon she should be breaking, since I felt it would be fun to see what they thought would work best for them. Admittedly, a morning star was far from the first thing that came to my mind, but it certainly works here! I also gave the artist free reign to arrange most of the scars as they saw fit, as most of them aren't really set in stone barring the large one she has on her left cheek (that one's special), though I wasn't expecting to them to draw any scratches and scuff marks on her hooves... interesting touch that I may have to consider for my own stuff down the line.

It definitely is nice to finally start getting art of Big Z after buying her last year and tweaking the design to better suit my own needs! I'm really hoping to build up her character more and show everyone that I value her just like I value my dragons despite her origins, and I'm really hoping you'll all stick around to see it!
