Context if you haven't seen Lady and the Tramp 2 (a direct to dvd sequel): before meeting Lady, Tramp was a part of a street dog pack alongside Buster the doberman. In the movie, Buster resents Tramp for choosing the comfy pet life with a classy girl, and gives off strong ex-boyfriend energy. An actual quote from Buster in the movie: "I gave him a choice, it's either me or her!"
