A divine word
Boop.
She blinked. He... booped her.
All of that speech, that powerful rune that will solve many of her problems, and he simply booped her snoot.
She was struggling with many emotions at that moment.
- You... Booped me?
- Yeah.
- And that's all?
- Don't feel better?
- I do.
- The power of the boop.
- I was expecting...
- A miracle?
- As expected from a god?
- That's the problem actually. You all expect me to solve all of your troubles and inconveniences when you simply have to support each other.
A simple kind word, a gentle touch, and it's enough to brighten anyone's day.
But no, you expect some fancy heavenly spectacles with a decaton of visual effects from a god to be better.
Exactly why I don't manifest myself in your realm. You would all rely on me for everything.
Help yourself and your fellows, and everything will be better.
She pooted a bit. That's not exactly what she was really expecting. But she indeed felt a bit disappointed.
Her hair was regenerating from his powers, and the radioactive storm was fading away, and yet.
- Dad, I understand what you mean, but still. That's all you got after all those years?
He took her in his arms and gave her a long hug.
There, she was finally at peace.
He was right in fact.
That's nothing that she or any other mortal couldn't do.
And that simple touch, that simple thought, was able to heal her soul.
- Tsuki gives you that a lot you know?
- Dad? Could you stop being in my mind?
- Sorry sweetie, that's part of the deal. Specially when I do touch someone.
Reluntanctly, she moved away from him.
- Yes I know she's such a sweetheart. I would have collapsed without her support, and yet...
And yet that boop, that hug, were on another level.
He stayed there, in silence. A gentle smile was growing, and she was hesitating.
- I missed you dad.
- I know.
He opened his arms and she threw herself in, whatever the consequence.
- I know. he repeated himself.
I missed you too. Forgive me for that wait.
- I'm sure you had your reasons.
- Indeed. I fought some eldritch nightmares in realms. To protect you.
That's at this very moment she couldn't hold her tears anymore. She sobbed against his torso. The idea he could be wounded in those fights, that he may...
She dig herself even more in his fur, as to wipe away her tears.
He gently kissed her forehead.
Again, nothing than anyone would be able to do so.
That powerful rune.
That boop.
That hug.
That kiss.
Indeed, those were miracles gods gave to the mortals.
He was right all along. She still has so many things to learn.
It was a miracle after all. A divine word she will use around her from now.
