My perfectionism is killing me here so I thought that maybe peeling back the curtains a little bit and showing the outline might help my brain accept this for what it is.
Essentially this is me trying out a new way to get proportions and such for my heads, since so far I feel like the heads on my characters really pull them back from being as good as they could be. Problem is that filling in these shapes will be an absolute nightmare. Like, I have seen builders in this game with 5k+ hours say "good luck" in response to being asked about filling in easier shapes than this, and I still am not really sure how I'm going to do cheek fluff, or how to get the ears to look less stiff, make the eyes more expressive, y'know.
Ultimately I think I'm probably being really harsh on myself but sometimes I need to really challenge myself to make any progress. ...Except I'm not sure I'm ready for this yet. I've somewhat already mentioned the problems I have with my current method to make heads, but my issue is mainly how spherical they are, and, to me, the muzzle looks slapped on rather than a part of the head.
Maybe I'll see if I can find any modeling tutorials that I can try to apply to Brick Rigs. I already looked at a fursuit head tutorial since it popped in my recommended, but it didn't help much, mediums too different. Thanks for your time if you read this far though :D
...Is this the 3d equivalent of a sketch?
*yellow cubes are just for rotation
