Something doesn't smell right. They sure don't have a lot of elders. Nor have they satisfactorily explained how the wolves eat within their brand new world. My original gut feeling was that they fed the wolves those who are too elderly or infirm to contribute to "society" anymore.
As we all expected/knew Gristle knew the bear was long dead and just somehow tried to keep his pack away from Oren's Hollow and a possible deadly conflict.
And what even is his hope with Seral and Swift meeting there. That he somehow can convnce her to come back and kill her pups as Simnger demanded?
