korinnafeh said that the pony I'm most like is Rarity. And after thinking about it, I fully accept that. XD We're both creative and have our "diva" moments. Plus I can really feel for Rarity in that one dress-making episode; creating for someone for free and having them reject your idea for a lesser artistic one.Opted to fully render this pony image and I think it look all the better for it.

We have what is essentially a glorified toy commercial for little girls (and I say this as a recent convert and a member of the herd), making inside jokes about fashion icons and song montages based on Stephen Sondheim musicals. Welcome to the wonderfully strange year of 2011, my friends.
I think the fact that its a Hasbro cartoon makes it a glorified toy commercial. :P
However I don't think the inclusions of fashion icon references and songs from musicals make it more of a commercial for little girls, only that the writer tossed said references in as they're their favorite. I mean, there was a "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" reference in another episode too.

They have a few that I quite enjoy: Winter Wrap-up, Into the Gala, and that little instrumental they play when the kids are in search of their cutie marks. If they keep the quality of the music as high in the second season, maybe we'll see a soundtrack album released.

Really nicely done...although her head might be just a tad too heart-shaped. Still, lovely pic!
Persoanlly, I identify more with Twilight Sparkle. Yeah, I'm the egghead/nerd that things always seem to happen to. Derp! The Pony quiz even agrees with me!
