“The Puppy’s Amazon Adventure” is an actual produced and broadcast episode that I tacked this prologue onto. The episode itself is available online but only as a version dubbed into Hungarian, which I don’t speak a word of. However, after numerous viewings, I think I have at least a fair idea of the plot.

In a nutshell, while Petey and his pals explore the Amazon jungle, they run afoul of two goons that I think are named Sanchez and Balderas (at least that’s what it sounds like). These goons dognap Petey and Lucky and force them to help steal emeralds from a mine underneath some kind of plantation house whose owners they’re holding prisoner. While this is going on, a swarm of army ants is coming, threatening everybody.

This covers Acts 1 and 2 of my expanded version of this episode, which occur pretty much exactly as broadcast. (The opening of them wandering through the jungle takes place immediately after giving Robert and Charlie some privacy.) I wrote Acts 3 and 4 to continue the story from where the broadcast version left off, to be posted next weekend, with a big surprise in store!
