He took my juice money!

My nieces found this little guy for me the other day after a bunch of rain storms came through.

Amphibians are such a rare sight for me these days. I was very happy to find even this little guy. I hope he fares all right.

This is the first real controlled environment macro shot of an animal I've ever attempted.

Oak Toads are America's smallest toad. They only get barely an inch long as adults. And baby oak toads? TEH CUTE, IT BURNS. =)

Even when I had a large number of toads here, I'd never seen one quite so small. Normally adult Southern Toads which are much larger than this little guy.

Occasionally I'd find an adult Oak Toad, but this juvenile one was quite a surprise. :)

Back at one of my old apartments, I lived near a park with a lake. They would hatch at certain times of the year and there'd be hundreds this size all over the place. It was very difficult to walk anywhere without squishing several of them. >.<

Frogs are so adorable <3 When I was little, these guys used to gather up around my porch during the rain and me and my cousin would walk around really carfully so we wouldn't step on them xD

these are rare? when its the right time of year i can find a couple hundred hiding in my shed out back never knew what they were till now though ^^ damned hard to get to and they hop away so fast ;.; that and i dont want to hurt them trying to catch them there just so tiny =p
