The best tip I have is to Practice! Seriously! I don't start out by making a one-off and get it right the first time. I practice the shape over and over until I get it correct, I learn really well that way.

Even with any project I work on, I practice it a few times before I make the final project. Its so easy to give up on something you've never practiced before. So don't forget to leave time to practice when you make your own plush!

i'm still trying to get some plush made of my characters @_@ so damned jealous you have that wonderful 'crafting' ability to do these. by chance o you have some kinda tips, crafts, kinda thing to help those of us who wanna make their own as well? :) would be awesome to try and sew something on my own again
