Like how to wear just a collar and a tie? :)

I stand by it as well, friend. Some very insightful stories have met my eyes and mind via comic books over the years. I honestly wish that the writers at IDW had written the TRANSFORMERS movie trilogy. Their stories had much more insight and meaningful character interaction than was seen on the big screen.

I learned to appreciate the ability of comics to tell thoughtful stories when I was a teenager. Some of the storylines in the X-MEN comics paralleled what were then current events. During the crises regarding apartheid in South Africa, there was a story arc in which a fictional island nation called Genosha used mutants as slave labor to support their advanced society. Newspaper comics like CALVIN AND HOBBES and POGO did excellent jobs of using humor and art to make insightful comments on modern society.

Comics can indeed say a lot, if writers like you continue to stay in the profession. I just hope that our society continues to retain the ability to see comics' value as a medium of storytelling and social commentary. Given the success of movie adaptations of comic books over the past decade, I'd say our chances are good =0)

Kinda interesting seeing Wolfram looking over comics. Would think that'd be too plebeian for someone of his stature.
