First and foremost, I need to apologize for this page. This is a tactic you see in comics from time to time, but a lot more in modern comics these days. The dreaded info dump page. The proper way to do this is to have this conversation take place over multiple panels to pages depending on the amount of dialogue/exposition.
This should have definitely been a two pager. My thought process at the time, was trying to hurry up and get to the porn. Even then, I still took 5 pages to get to anything juicy. XD

This kind of formatting could have worked. It's just a matter of placement of the panels. If you had the conversation in the middle with the lower left action at the top and the top panel on the lower left, it'd give the illusion of a back and forth without the need for the character icons. To sell it further, you could move the bottom panels to the middle and then another set of them below them to show different expressions for their last big of dialogue.
