Gotta consider the differences between a kick, punch, bite, scratch, etc. May have to get a special budget set aside to hire enough sufficiently drunk men to consider all the angles from. And from this vital research the 'sports cup' is reinvented ushering in a new era of games such as 'Toss The Yinglet' and 'Get Tossed By Isher'.
"Ran strives for utmost accuracy", yet says "a creature incapable of the capacity to seat a human consciousness without formidable and unforeseeable issues".
The dude has either completely failed to consider that not only does Kass "seat a human consciousness", but Vizlet, Beizel, and Figgins exist and are intelligent. Lippie has some issues, but I doubt he really knows much about her.
On Page 46, his reaction to Kass choking Lopin was to clap and go "Ohohoho~ how delightful!" and the blurb said "Ran likes to watch the rats fight." That combined with part of his description here being "upstart-species" makes me think that maybe Ran DOESN'T view yinglets as potentially equal. If that's true, then he likely views them as utterly incapable of full intelligence, and the ones who do display it, he is convinced are a good imitation but lack some aspect of a "true mind" that he hasn't yet articulated (and might not be able to). "An impressive imitation, you hide your inadequacy well." He might just be convinced that He hasn't seen the "formidable and unforeseeable issues" from them yet, but is convinced there will be some. He's waiting for any mistake he can pounce on to justify his racism.
If anyone is gonna give away Viracroix's "real interest" in yinglets, it's Ran. "Oh, please, you KNOW yinglets are worthless! The entire reason the Trademaster is making any effort at all instead of wiping them out completely is their uncanny ability to locate antiquities. Once you've done your job and figured out how they do it, we can put an end this arrangement, as well as their silly notions of ever standing in the same field as us."
Really, Kass, don't punch him in the cock. Get your new bodyguard to do it. Let Ran experience a phallic inversion of his own.

Ran treats the yinglets with a lot of respect by the standards of his society. But that's not a very high standard.
And really, the Yinglets don't give the greatest impression. There are well-spoken and educated yinglets, but there are very few of them. As a recent arrival on the stage they just don't have the resources to access education. Even the entire wealth of the Enclave amounts to a patch of land no-one else wants and some crude structures built out of wood and leather. Most yinglets live in poverty conditions, and they are a common sight begging on the streets or resorting to some petty theft to survive. It's going to take another century at least before they can earn their equaliy.

The intelligence and education bit is the Planet of the Apes effect - intelligence getting measured by comparison of "how many things do I think I know, that this person doesn't". That doesn't measure intelligence at all, it measures cultural integration.
As for the poverty conditions, same effect with a different measure. The inequality leads to the perception, not the other way around. You know who else is living in a hole in the ground, resorting to begging and crime? House Ivenmoth. You just don't perceive it as a cave, as begging, or as crime - because you already believe that contained within them is this rightful thing called ownership.
(Of course, that's insomuch as they're just borrowing it all from the "most intelligent" species in Val Salia, the ones who entiiiirrrely by coincidence also have guillotines for hands.)

Good insight. I'd also count most of the female yinglets, alongside Kattajak and Poak, as having human-equivalent intelligence. It's just their odd mannerisms and speech patterns that might convince a casual onlooker otherwise. Lopin? The jury's out.
Why are some yinglets notably more intelligent than others? A quirk of the bloodlines, or something much more prosaic, like malnutrition during childhood? I feel a fanfic brewing.

I once read, though I admit I've never looked it up afterwards, that one of the best factors for determining which children will grow up to be more intelligent is nutrition during the early stages of life, while the body is building itself up and maturing. If you're getting poor nutrition while your body is still building your brain, then your brain might not work so good.
And yinglet enclaves are usually stretching themselves as thin as possible, trying to raise numbers. They don't have the resources to spare to raise an Odd One that can't contribute. Females get the best food and the best education, primarily because they're often smart enough to warrant all the extra attention. They're smart because they get good nutrition and teachings, they get good nutrition and teachings because they're smart...

yeah that "incapable of the capacity" repetition really sounds more like a classic old guy who just realized he's being a bigot but can't handle being wrong (because ego maintains power). Ran trips over ability-words trying to figure out how to say an offensive thing non-offensively... then in the next speech bubble worked up that white male confidence and doubles down trying to rattle off rationalizations for it. Finishes by suggesting that Kass should already believe these things too, makes it an unwinnable confrontation if Kass doesn't.
Now I wonder how long Kass has in terms of life expactancy. Is he/she the Yinglet equivalent of his/her original age? Did the stone make Kass more of a 'standard' Yinglet, as in it basically had a template it turned Kass into that had a certain predetermined age? Or is Kass still the same age, meaning Kass is actually already a bit on the older side for a Yinglet?
Vislet mentioned that Kass is almost as old as she is, and yet appears to be a young adult. Based on the Yinglet development guide, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/28684662/ , we can conclude that Kass is the equivilent of a thee-year-old Yinglet. Vislet is around age twenty-one or -two, while senility and the worst signs of aging begin at age twenty-five. This is why Vislet is trying to choose a successor as Matriarch - she only has a few more years left before she will be too old for the duty.
So Kass has maybe twenty years of life remaining in good health (luck permitting) and maybe a couple more years of decrepit old age after that.
This also means that if Kass can avoid an early death, they will easily attain the title of oldest yinglet to have ever lived at the age of fourty-something. Yinglets have a lot of respect for their elders, so it shall at least be a comfortable retirement.

I'm guessing the reason why Kass said it like that is because Ran's faces casually out of reach. I mean you kind of makes sense you yourself are just coming to grips with how something you plan to do fell completely to the wayside and get someone casually points out not only that you didn't do what you wanted to do but why you couldn't do it in such a way that makes it look and feel like you're being talked down to.
Greetings, OOPsaloids! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
It closed out last month at 10245 votes and 36th place. It's currently at 394 votes and 29th place. The highest it's reached is 24th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 60,000 votes, at least recently.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

why do i get the idea ran is a ok with getting punched in the dick by a female yinglet as long as he can take notes and turn it into a research project? real question is will it then get hard due to being a research project? Something tells me very little if anything outside of research gets Ran turned on but there is going to be that strange one thing that does it like highly detailed wobbly green savory gelatin molds of graduated cylinders or something.
