A commission from

Well, it's a piece inspired by various statues of multi-limbed gods. He is lording over his love for retro games!
One interesting point about this piece is from how these are all consoles that I've played with in the past. And they're consoles from various points in gaming history. We've got the two turn of the millennium consoles (Sony Playstation and Nintendo 64), both sides of the 1990s bit wars (Nintendo NES and Sega Genesis), a third party that snuck into the bit wars (NEC Turbo-Grafx 16/PC Engine), and a second-generation console (Mattel Intellivision). The artist tells me the toughest controller to draw was the NES one; at least the PSX and N64 controllers have their labels on the buttons.
Are there are retro consoles you prefer? Maybe there's one that might have been your first console.
