Drawn by Cerbera in 2025.
The artist hasn't uploaded this one anywhere that I know of, but I'll be sure to provide a link to such here if that changes.
This little lamb is a such a delicate and innocent creature. It must be, to trust me of all people to carry it like this.
...
Something a little different regarding my red dragon Sharon, as I try to branch out and start getting more work of her in her mercenary form. Earlier this year, I came across this YCH that really sparked my interest and felt like it would be a good fit for my scarred reptile... I even opted to leave the original outfit largely unaltered* since I rather liked how it looked in the sample pic, as it wouldn't be too far off from something I'd have my character wear at this stage of her life.
Even well into adulthood, Sharon's love of animals never truly went away, but she usually tried to avoid spending time with the docile ones she encountered during her mercenary years. I think a major reason for that may be because, due to how many creatures she was forced to hunt and eat to survive in the wilderness, she likely believes she doesn't deserve to be in their good graces. After all, how can someone say they love animals and still kill them, even if she only ever did it for sustenance when nothing else was available? At least, that's how she sees it, anyway. Even in a situation like this, where she's been graciously granted permission to hold this little lamb, she would no doubt be silently questioning herself over whether or not she is truly worthy to hold such an animal in her arms like this after all she's done.
Still, she cannot deny that holding it feels nice despite all of that. Nice enough to put a smile even on her face, which is something she finds herself not doing very often. Yes, she would no doubt like to hold it for as long as possible, even if there are conflicting thoughts in the back of her head about the whole thing. I'll need to look into getting more art of Mercenary Sharon, for there is much about her I would love to share.
...
I know not if this creature would still allow me to hold it if it knew how much blood was really on my hands.
I do, however, know that to bear it in my arms now brings me a great comfort... and for that, I am eternally grateful.

*I originally hoped to see the armor plating colored a dark crimson, like in my own designs, but it wasn't working out and the artist opted to compensate for this by instead adding a fancy cape to the ensemble to help accentuate the design, which I think is an acceptable compromise.
