bikes!

actually, this is sort of random, but since you're pretty knowledgeable on bikes, do you have any recommendations on electric bikes? I'm looking for something I can commute the 10 miles to work and then back, that's a bit more economical and eco-friendly than my SUV, but without having to get a motorcycle license. I've been thinking about getting a delfast for a couple years now, but when I went to finally pull the trigger this weekend, I learned they went out of business, supposedly due to some questionable stuff. now I've got no idea what to get.

I would recommend checking in with your local bike shop, even if you buy a used bike, it is great to know what they have good experience with. And if a store is a distributor for a particular brand, they probably have more experience servicing it and have all the right tools if they need specific ones (for example, I have some spare wheels for a bike I built that takes a very specific tool for adjusting spokes, and because it's rare, my local bike store doesn't have that tool).

My local store is very good, even though I have never bought a bike from them and likely never will, they give me great advice and are just happy to get more people on bikes. And they know that because we've formed a good relationship, I will come by to get parts, servicing etc from them :D
