Being my first creation, back at the day one of Planet Coaster 2, the attraction had outdated features. There was an object limit, no ride photos or modular souvenir shops, and early in the game the ride triggers were buggy and didn’t connect to the blueprints. You had to close the park, reopen it, do some “stuff” to connect everything, which was annoying. I created a statue halfway through the ride with a fake “photo spot,” featuring a lamp flashing intermittently to represent a camera flash. For the photo shop, I used “information” and “souvenir” kiosks, and put up signs saying “Photos here.”
While working on the faction descriptions for Enchantia and taking screenshots, I thought to myself, “Why not update this attraction?” So I did. I completely redid the souvenir shop. I added real ride photos, thanks to the latest update, but I had to change the position of the statue for the photos and modify it. Also, I finally placed a giant animatronic in the center of the lake, something I had wanted to do for a long time, and I added a sort of Jormungand that spins around itself. At the door at the back of the shop, there is a fully operational staff area, with an electric generator and a staff room for those who play in realistic mode.
I'm not someone who updates past projects, unless it's really worth it — I prefer creating new things. Sometimes I might update an older creation with new details, but only if I feel like it or if I’m emotionally attached to that specific project. In this case, I care about this project because it was my very first real creation.
