I have no clue why every time there's a furry gotcha game like Tokyo Afterschool Summoners and Live-A-Hero, I always conceptualize a Tanuki and Kitsune OC that ultimately gets scrapped. I guess I just like these two mythological creature. Who knows. Either way, I ended up making these two based on Zenless Zone Zero. Design wise, they're pretty basic. I wasn't trying to make them look flashy or have an air of importance. Honestly, I picture these two as comic relief characters with running gags. As tricksters, they like to stir trouble and constantly get the New Eridu Public Security behind their tails in funny chases. In terms of faction, they have none. Their reputation precedes them. They're not enemy or villain status, just chaotic fun and general thieving. Their biggest issue is their distrust of humans. They've been burned too many times so they have a negative perception about them. Only the fully beast Thirens they actually respect, and even then it's based on a select few.

Personally, I think they connect with Ben Bigger to an extent. Ben had to deal with human's (or others) perception of him as some kind of dangerous bear who'll eat someone, when he's really a big, nerdy sweetheart. While not fully understanding their antics, he does genuinely care about the two as though he's a parental figure to them, and they come to him for a quick visit (aka laying low till the cops get off their backs) and even have ramen with him.

Unfortunately, I've yet to come up with a weapon or battle style for these two. I keep coming up with ideal weapons for them only to realize those said weapons exist already in the game for an Agent. The closest thing I thought about was the Kitsune wielding dual foldable fans and the tanuki wielding a japanese umbrella as a blunt weapon. Other times I thought they should wield illusion-type cards. IDK. At the very least, the sketch of these two are here for reference if nothing else.
