While out investigating an incident in the forest one night, Reimu Hakurei encountered a massive wolf spirit, its luminous form shining through the oppressive Darkness. As she looked up at the spirit in terror, trying to figure out how to exterminate it, the spirit swirled around her in a vortex. Soon, it lunged at her and as she braced herself, she could feel its energy pierce her body, her teeth sharpening in her mouth.
