Ravn, the siderian character of my friend RiverRaven (https://www.deviantart.com/riverraven) hunting in the northern forests, when the sun is setting and the first autumn snows announce the coming of winter.

Siderians are my nearly horse-sized feline species that resemble some sort of Oriental-cat hybrid. They have the narrow but powerful body-shape of a tiger and the graceful slenderness of an oriental cat.
Ravn belongs to the Sætansen family- he is the brother of Yava, the son of Axel & Malta and thus the grandson of my characters Matthias and Alva (see characters in my gallery). You can read more about him here - on his (rather old) charactersheet. He is generally very solitary and cold and impressive in his appearance.
Ravn and his family live in what we call Norway, but what they call Fjordland. Sweden and Finland are called the Lakelands among siderians. Fjordlanders - and to a lesser degree the Lakelanders - are generally stoic, proud, territorial, cold, intelligent and stubborn. Siderians use names for regions as well, but are less strict with borders and only use region names for communicating locations, rather than that the 'countries' have any political meaning for them. Nor is there any form of centralized regulation. Only in metaclusters there can be some form of central coordination and labour division for maintenance and innovation activities. Metaclusters are places where ecals (living crystals) come together and form kind of ganglions where siderians can relatively easy get contact their the nervous-system like community. They are also able work with the special energy properties of these crystals, since they are present at high density and diversity in these clusters.
Anyway a bit of a late birthday gift for River, but better late than never. Hope you enjoy the nice autumn colours and I couldn't resist to give this title to the drawing...
