Black Vulture with "Headlights"

Here is a Black Vulture in flight, showing off his most characteristic and unigue field marks...Headlights! These vultures are the ONLY bird in North America that have a large bright patch on the underside tips of their wings. They shine with a light of their own and so, are called Headlights! Note, too the short, wide almost non-existent tail. This tail distinguishes them from Turkey Vultures, which have a LONG thin tail. Also Black Vultures soar with their wings completely straight, whereas Turkey Vultures have a sharp, very noticeable "V" angle to their wings as they soar. These THREE field marks are all you need to identify Black Vultures; Headlights, flat wings, and LACK of tail.

I think you should add more background to your photos/ use rule of thirds

In this case there was NOTHING in the background, only sky. I was going for a reference, field-guide like photograph, to highlight the Headlights and lack of tail.
