For the record his Birthday was on October 17th

Damian has never liked to celebrate his Birthday due to it always being associated with his mother’s dead and normally treats it as any other day. However, Cassula still wanted to do something for his Birthday, given that it was his first Birthday with them as Mates and he had thrown her a surprise party for her first Hatchday as a couple. Knowing a party was out of the question, she came up with a plan to treat him to a nice dinner at his favorite restaurant, surprise him with an homemade cake that she made like he did for her Hatchday, and while he is distracted with the amazing cake she’ll put on something sexy then processed to have a wild night together that will have them both walking funny in the morning.

Once she had made the reservation at the restaurant, she recruited some of their friends to keep Damian busy while she makes the cake. On the day of his birthday, she told him to meet her at the restaurant as he left to help their friends who suddenly needs his assistants. With Damian gone, she soon realized that even after all her planning, she has no idea on how to make a cake. After returning home with a cookbook and all the ingredients Cassula ready to make the cake. She has seen Damian bake plenty of times so, how hard can that be?

Needless to say, things didn’t go as planned. Cassula had spent so long on trying to make the cake that she lost track of time. It wasn’t until she saw Damian standing just outside the kitchen with takeout contains from the restaurant, did she realize her mistake. In an effort to salvage something from the situation, Cassula quickly cut him a slice of the cake and gave it to him. Despite Damian’s best effort to hide it, Cassula didn’t need the Bond to know the cake was terrible. With the stress of the day and her plan being a complete failure, the dam finally broke. Damian quickly embraced her, and she held him close as she let her tears out.

Once she had calmed out, Damian thanked her and told her that even if thinks did work out as she wanted, he still appreciated what she was trying to do. After finishing the takeout he brought, they decided to spend the rest of the night watching bad horror movies. As the last movie ended Damian noticed Cassula had fallen asleep, turning off the TV, he kissed her snout and snuggled up to next her, as he began to drift off, he couldn’t help but think about how this was the best Birthday he’s ever had.
