As you can see wilords in anthro forms use their secondary arms (sometimes plated or armored gauntlets) to hook around their belly or chest to keep the mobility while also allowing protections...in firexs čase he got only 1 of the lower arms so he put it across his chest instead over his belly...
Might be something about his nature.
