Inspired by the obscure vampire flick Near Dark. For the life of me, I'll never understand why so many vampires head to Mexico or the southern U.S in movies, it's sunny all the time and everything has a cross on it.

It's almost like they WANT to fry. Either that or it's some weird vampire challenge thing so see how
long they can survive(not very in even fall and winter to not at all in the summer!)!

I figure there's just a lot of humans there no one will miss. People will notice if you wipe out a whole town like in 30 Days of Night, even in Alaska.

Also there are a lot of retirees in the south that won't put up much of a fight
and might actually welcome the thought of being bit if it makes them young again or
at the very least ends their suffering. Win win for the vampire either way.
