For my upcoming Dark Souls inspired tabletop RPG project, I'm bringing back some characters that haven't had a chance to interact in the Valerie Lilac campaign or I haven't had much of a chance to flesh out in another setting. Evelyn was a character that started as my player character in Baldur's Gate 3, from there she absolutely came to life on her own. My multiplayer party loved her, and I did too! She has appeared in my other stories as side characters that players have had the opportunity to meet, some have, others haven't. This time however, Ms. Wight is going to be a major player in this upcoming story should the players choose to engage in her quest line.
Evelyn Wight, a soldier that fought beside Valerie Lilac during her days as an officer. They quickly bonded being among not many women in the royal military. The dragonborn was a force to be reckoned with during her tour. She was the crowd control with her greatsword while Valerie and the rest of the squad would wipe out supporting units from behind.
When her friend had discovered the queen's plans to bring about the end times and find a way for their country to prosper through the brutal sacrifice of countless lives, they knew they had to come up with a plan. Valerie had retired from her position as an officer by running away and finding shelter in a neighboring nation. Evelyn had attempted to make a similar escape, but unfortunately she was caught and chose to hold them off while her officer and friend made her escape. The dragonborn was captured, and eventually put to death for treason.
An untold amount of time would pass, and suddenly Evelyn Wight somehow woke up, her body in tact, but the pain of the magical firing squad still fresh in her mind. She found herself in a cell, different from a typical royal prison. This one was dank, decrepit, more rubble than anything. Somehow she had the strength to bash down the door, to find others that had woke up just like her. Although some of them were, different. They seemed mindless, like their sense of purpose and being had completely left them. Something that Evelyn would later learn is called "Hollow."
The solider had fought her way out of that prison, still confused to what even happened to her! Finding the remnants of a once village, she found a man sitting by a barely lit fire, kept alive by some shattered bone and a sword plunged in it. The man looked to her, a dull and miserable look about him before letting out a small chuckle.
"Ah look what we have here, another undead found it's way out the prison. Though you don't look hollow quite yet." Evelyn shook her head, confused.
"Undead? Is that.. What happened? Where am I? What is a hollow?"
"An undead is what you are, and a hollow is what you are not, yet." He laughs to himself, a cough escaping as the laugh went on for longer than what was comfortable.
"Well don't look so glum, you're back again! Back to see the world for what it is, and judging by your armor, you've been asleep a long time. Come.. Sit by the bonfire, and I'll bring you up to speed.."

Ooooo! You brought Evelyn into the dark alt future! And she's looking a bit more feminine! Hehe. ^!^ The scaly hair on the back of her head being slightly longer, and the slightly softer shape of her head, gives her a bit more of a feminine dragonborn look. ^!^ Love it! And love to see her piercing purple eyes! ^!^
And while her outfit's still got the signature yellow and blue standing out amongst the gray it's also looking more worn and dull. There's even some tatters down at her thighs. But she's also looking stronger with a MUCH bigger sword! Hehe! XD Looking closer to Guts' sword that her old 1! But very fitting given what I know of Dark Souls. XD
The bg certainly gives a worn down building vibe. ^!^ Perfect for whatever kind prison she awoke in.
Love how the story not only provides a connection to Valerie, but also feels like there's a bit of inspiration from a Dark Souls tutorial. XD Hehe! Love they way she uses her greatsword for crowd control, just like a tank and a real life knight with a greatsword! ^!^ And backing up the support like Valerie: Also real strategy! ^!^
And such a heroic final stand! Worthy of a gal like her! ^!^
The rest is a nice introduction, and where the tutorial part comes in. Hehe! ^!^ Love it! ^!^ Wonder who this mysterious man is. ^!^
And I hope your players take interest in her! ^!^ She'd no doubt provide them with wisdom and knowledge they need to undo this mess! ^!^
