After seeing the video test-driving the mask-shell with reflecting eyes. It looks like it is coming together well. Now you need a touch-of-fur.

I need a lot of fur! I've finally found some I want to try, and the swatches are on the way. The first ones should arrive next week. It's been miserably difficult to find both a short, dense pile and a very long pile for dark red. My essential accent color. I've found a few in burgundy I'm hoping will match. Then I need a good brush, before can mess with shaving.

And then... there's a lot of work that needs to happen to the base before I can cover it all in fur. The eyes have really been sucking down time, I knew that would happen. I'm really only halfway through with them, but fingers crossed I'm essentially through the experimental phase.

That can be challenge to pick fursona-colors and not find fur-colors that match. When I built Corn, I bought a Flowbee, which is a vacuum cleaner attached hair-cutter. The provided vacuum ensues the pile stands up while getting trimmed. It also significantly reduces the mess. Ironically, I now use the Flowbee to cut my own hair.

That's a pretty cool device! Videos I've seen show cutting against the grain evens out pretty well. Personally, I don't mind if it's a little uneven. I think it would fit the character. I'm just going to use my beard electric razor, and hope for the best. Trying swatches first.
Honestly, all I need is any "dark red", but it's so hard to find in anything other than a 1.5-2" pile or minky. I'm hoping these burgundy all match.
