Sorry, sorry. Conventions, again. Good news is, convention season is pretty much over, at this point. I've only got a few in the fall, and most of them are close. So, shouldn't have any more delays :)
More pages to come this week. Gotta catch up.

I realize that you're trying to show his inexperience with the seedier side of life compared to Amon who's worked here forever, and I certainly don't expect him to know everything, or even close to everything, but after this and the last page, I'm having trouble believing anyone could be that naive at 18-20 without some sort of head trauma somewhere in his back story.
Dhaval's not from the city, hon. He's from an isolated country area where things like opium and prostitution are not common knowledge. The modern era has a lot more access to general knowledge. Even posting this here, online, a lot of folks did not know what opium or poppies were. A charcoal burner from the 17th century who'd never spent any time out of their rural area would not understand city institutions or practices.
You make it sound like it's a cub fetish thing or something.
Physically, he at least looks of-age and I am more than happy to accept that. The fact that he's still acting like a clueless child is what's causing all the confusion, and also a fair bit of http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p.....ngstDissonance .

That's fine, sure. I don't really care what you call his age on a site that forbids anything younger than 18. Not like anyone here is going to care much, either, other than trolls.
If he's 18+ (which is highly unlikely), then he is, even if it would be a rather questionable creation in character. If he's not, which is both more realistic and nowhere near as questionable when it comes to character creation, he's not. Either way works for me, even though I'd like to have characters that aren't daft bimbos.
The art is good enough for me not to care, especially with the regular updates.

Honestly though he isn't that simple at all. People forget that even in today's age, not everyone knows everything. Naivety still exists, and it is very different than being 'stupid' or 'obviously young'.
He is just a kid still (my age), just got taken from his home to a strange city, a place where the customs are very bizarre to him. He doesn't know this is a prostitution house, if he even knows prostitution exists. I'm sure when he and Amon have their... conversation, he will be very surprised and most likely fight it. Or at least be unhappy with it. For now, he probably thinks he is almost like a slave (which he kinda is..) but in the sense that he will be doing these restaurant chores until the debt is paid off.

My boyfriend and his brother think it's funny how clueless I am a lot of the time... >_> They make jokes apparently about so many things. Most, after being told what they were talking about, were sexual references. However, they still keep me in the dark about some of the things they joke about, or have mentioned.
I wish I would've gotten to talk to you more in detail at the con Rukis, I really enjoyed the adult writing and comic panels you did. I'm an up and coming writer, been doing it for years, but have as of yet been able to get your artistic talent. I have about fifty-billion comic ideas I thumb through every once in a while. Someday though :) It was fantastic to meet you though!
And...about the strip, gorgeous as usual. I really like Amon's outfit in this one, and the bright coloring on Dhaval's pants, I love the use of reds and oranges you have in this, it really fits the title I suppose. Very nice approach.

that's precisely the problem. Digitally-accessible comics are ripe for piracy. Neither of the furry publishers I use do digital comics or graphic novels, because it would be virtually impossible to turn a profit on them. The day anyone gets a pristine digital copy of a comic and distributes it online, the publisher and the artist lose all but the most devoted, honest of buyers.
It's nice to think you can do business and trust that folks will pay for something if they buy it, and a lot of the time that IS the case. But unfortunately, the reality is that you can't do business that way, in the real world. Especially in a recession.
I'll be doing some little side comics of my own that will have digital distribution, since they're just my own personal projects. But this graphic novel's being printed through a real honest to god publisher, and that's where it's gonna stay. I would suggest a shoe box, if privacy's an issue :)

Poor Dhaval... at least i just hope that the winner of the auction will treat him... hmm.. nice at least.. (but knowing how the people at those places normaly are.. that won't be the case :( )
Btw.. Amon outfit is just amazing!! It trully makes him look sexier than how he already looks like ^^
Can't wait for the next pages. Hmm... maybe some of the private works of Isolde? ^^ Hehehe... one can dream ^^

I think maybe - in frame one - the clothing on the two female slaves needs to be darkened a bit (or at least the highlights do), so it's closer to the same color as the curtains in the background (which is why I presume you chose that color for their clothing?). They do "pop out" of the page too much, I think - it draws my eyes too much when I'm trying to look at other panels. I'm not sure about the other smaller characters in the background though - they seemed okay to me :).
In frame one, there are 4 foreground characters, I suppose drawn by Rukis, and the rest is background. I don't think it's saturation but rather black levels that are too different. Look at a histogram. The purple dress woman is a little odd because she is drawn with much thicker inking it seems.
The third frame is 2 characters on a background, again I think it's a black level issue. The background looks more contrasted and darker blacks.
Nothing serious, just a little adjustment. In fact IDK if something has been done to the file but it's not as obvious to my eyes now. Besides the purple dress woman, none of the above jump out at me as much as before.

This reminds me of a great movie called "Salaam Bombay".
In the plot, a young girl's virginity is to be sold, and she gets prepared and even looks forward to it innocently. The movie was shot in the 80s I think, using actual street kids. It's gritty and may tear your heart out. The main plot is about the boy who tries to get her and himself out of the misery, but he gets tricked, abused, etc.

Crazy late comment because I'm super-behind on submissions, but I wanted to say that the colors in panels 1 and 3 look fantastic now. Dunno if you made changes or not (yes I read all the comments), but I think you did wonderfully with them. The contrast between the bright, rich colors of the servers' costumes and the drab hues of the customers fit the scene nicely, and the overall lighting gives everything a warm, worn feel.
In the interest of not /completely/ overinflating that lovely artistic head of yours, though, I have to ask just what's making Amon look at the room with that expression. If the first panel is supposed to show the room crammed overfull with randy, rowdy sailors...well I dunno, it looks fairly uncrowded to me. I'm not trying to criticise, per se, but I feel like I must be missing something.
